  • More than 50 million people in the United States suffer daily from chronic pain (The Mayo Clinic). 15% to 25% of children and adolescents live with pain-related conditions like chronic migraines, POTS, and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (Groenewald). While the typical treatments of medications and physical therapy help some, what happens to those who are left in extreme, unbearable pain? Chronic pain rehabilitation programs combine behavioral, physical and occupational therapies in promises of restoring physical activities and improving quality of life (The Mayo Clinic).

the stages of falling

As a queer person, I struggled to find a space to exist and be heard in my hometown.Throughout high school, I began to write a collection of poetry that would turn into a sort of survival guide for my teen years.

In hopes of helping even one person feel less alone, I decided to post a Tik Tok on the concept of my book. To my surprise, this would soon go viral, leading my book into the hands of hundreds of people across the world.
